KAPELOU – 13 Years of Advancing Intralogistics
On June 14, KAPELOU – a developer and integrator of comprehensive warehouse automation solutions – celebrated its 13th anniversary. As the intralogistics landscape rapidly evolves, KAPELOU maintains peak momentum, delivering projects engineered to drive business growth forward.
Looking back at our completed portfolio, we take pride in the scale of our achievements: a new generation of proprietary equipment, advanced technologies, and transformed warehouse processes that have served as operational springboards for dozens of companies.
We deeply value our partners and forward-thinking customers who share our commitment to technological evolution and collaborate with us to deploy high-efficiency solutions.
KAPELOU’s core insight gained over 13 years of field experience is that no two warehouses are identical; unique business processes demand custom engineering. We design and manufacture automated systems to build unified on-site logistics infrastructures, including AS/RS complexes, high-speed piece-picking and order fulfillment systems, conveyors, and tote handling modules. Our engineering expertise allows us to map and analyze material flows in depth, identifying hidden optimization reserves. We select and implement technologies that ensure a warehouse wins in speed, picking accuracy, and cost-efficiency.
Internal Process Synchronization: Driving Our Long-Term Evolution
To develop and integrate high-impact solutions, we continuously optimize our own corporate workflows. Keeping a pulse on the industry means establishing seamless, cross-departmental communication as the primary engine for decision-making. Agile leadership alignment, strategic sessions, and off-site project review workshops form the foundation of our execution methodology.
What does this internal synchronization deliver to our business and, above all, to our customers? Real-time course correction and flawless inter-departmental collaboration. We identify operational bottlenecks and refine workflows long before they can impact our external commitments. The format of our off-site workshops fosters a deep, shared understanding of project complexities from the inside out.
For our customers, this ensures that KAPELOU operates as a predictable, agile, and stable partner where every department delivers consistent reliability.
High-Performance Automation: End-to-End Order Fulfillment Systems
The market continues to show sustained demand for high-performance systems and turnkey automation of full-cycle warehouse processes. The majority of our large-scale case studies focus on integrating robust, high-throughput technologies:
- Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (AS/RS): we design and implement stacker cranes and shuttle systems that transform warehouses into high-density storage environments, where every cubic meter is utilized to its full operational value;
- high-speed sorting via Monoflex and AS/RS: following advanced training of our engineering teams at Dambach Lagersysteme (Germany), we implement cutting-edge rail-guided pallet sorting systems designed to sustain maximum throughput during peak seasonal loads;
- robotics integration: from intelligent piece-picking to robotic lid-application on final packaging lines, we replace repetitive manual labor with 24/7 robotic precision.
Today, KAPELOU’s project footprint spans 15 countries. We continue to expand internationally, taking into account the unique needs and expectations of each market.
Product Portfolio Expansion: Automation from Picking to Packaging
Driven by continuous R&D, we have expanded our proprietary equipment lineup to automate critical warehouse zones:
- A-Frame automated picking system (available in Pick-to-Tote, Pick-to-Belt, and 2-level configurations) for pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and e-commerce enables automated, high-velocity dispensing of small items directly into totes or onto a conveyor belt within minutes, completely bypassing manual handling;
- tote stacker/destacker automates the stacking and feeding of plastic totes into fulfillment zones, stabilizing internal material flows;
- automated lid applicator secures plastic lids onto totes at the final packaging stage. An industrial robot with a vacuum gripper operates with high precision and speed, minimizing human error before dispatch.
Partnerships That Enhance Expertise
Building the future of intralogistics is a collaborative engineering effort. The strength of KAPELOU lies in the synergy between our engineering capabilities and the world-class technologies developed by leading global providers of warehouse automation solutions:
- BD Rowa™: we integrate German-engineered pharmacy automation systems for medicine dispensing with our conveyor networks. The robotic cell dispenses requested packs instantly, while our lines transport them to packaging. The result is pharmacy order fulfillment with minimal risk of human error;
- K.Hartwall: in partnership with a Finnish manufacturer of logistics containers, we offer a “one container throughout the entire process” concept – from goods receiving to dispatch, eliminating unnecessary handling and transfers. Their roll cages safeguard products against transit damage and nest tightly within truck beds to maximize transport cube utilization;
- I.Milani: automated warehouses demand high-tolerance load carriers. Plastic totes from the Italian manufacturer I.Milani feature rigid base and wall geometry, preventing deformation under high loads and ensuring years of intensive operational runtime.
Engaging the Industry: Insights, Solutions, and Market Dialogue
We are convinced that industry growth is driven by open knowledge sharing. Therefore, KAPELOU actively participates in premier international trade exhibitions.
This year, we showcased our own innovations at LogiMAT for the fifth time. As one of the world’s leading intralogistics trade fairs, LogiMAT brings together manufacturers, system integrators, and logistics operators from across the globe each year. At our booth, we showcased high-performance automated picking and order fulfillment systems optimized for pharmaceutical logistics. Central to the display was KAPELOU’s proprietary A-Frame automated dispenser for high-speed piece-picking. We also presented a solution featuring the Vmax robotic dispenser by our partner BD Rowa™ (Germany) aimed at establishing ultra-efficient pharmaceutical distribution centers.
Additionally, we traditionally serve as a key partner for the All-Ukrainian Logistics Day, analyzing real-world case studies, emerging supply chain bottlenecks, and modern approaches to boosting warehouse throughput alongside peers and customers.
Across all key industry platforms, we demonstrate tangible tools to solve the core challenges of modern business:
- efficiency and precision: deploying systems that accelerate order processing cycles while eliminating downstream picking and packing errors;
- ergonomics and inclusivity: automation shifts the nature of warehouse labor. We engineer environments where physical strain is minimized, making warehouse roles comfortable, accessible, and professional-growth-oriented for all workers, regardless of age or gender;
- the power of partnership: joint projects with technology leaders optimize material flows and multiply warehouse productivity.
Shared Rhythm: Trust and Synergy in Sport and Projects
Our team operates as a single mechanism, both on the engineering floor and outside the office. The KAPELOU team regularly participates in high-end athletic events where endurance, trust, and mutual support are vital.
This year, we conquered the obstacle course at Spartan Kyiv 2026, and in the autumn, we completed the 15th Kyiv Marathon of Invincibility with distances ranging from 5K to the half-marathon (21K). Furthermore, our company football team proudly finished among the top three teams in the Elite First League of the Kyiv Futsal Championship.
For us, team sports are a proven tool for building ironclad trust, accelerating mutual understanding in daily project execution, and maintaining a high shared corporate velocity.
