Higher speed needed in the warehouse? KAPELOU has the robot solution for you!
Visit our booth 1OG68 where KAPELOU EU will present an innovative solution for automating the picking process for the e-commerce, pharmaceutical and postal industries.
We will show you a unique and technologically outstanding combination of different picking methods: A-frame, push-tray sorter, robotics and conveyor technology.
The growing demand for online stores has increased the demands on warehouse logistics, especially on the speed and quality of operations. Picking time, along with cost and accuracy of order fulfillment, has become an important competitive factor.
The development of quality standards for services as well as licensing requirements also place new demands on warehouse logistics in the pharmaceutical, healthcare and cosmetics industries. The requirements for picking at private customers and pharmacies are regulated by the Falsified Medicines Directive (FMD). Since 2019, every package of prescription medicines in Europe must have a unique barcode that is recorded in a central database.
Conventional methods of picking require a significant amount of manpower, additional time for checking the picking, determining the package number and assigning it to the order. This reduces the overall speed and increases the cost of order processing.
KAPELOU’s automated picking system solves the above “problems” and leads to the following results:
- Reduction of costs and error rate;
- increase in productivity;
- time saving due to parallel execution of processes;
- automatic linking of package number and order;
- automated picking of goods with complex packaging;
- minimization of personnel movements in the warehouse.
We present the following systems:
The A-Frame picking system enables picking of up to 20,500 orders per hour and an output speed of 3 items per second from a single channel and also works with light unit loads.
The Push-Tray Sorter universal sortation system is double-sided, has 2 carts and handles a large number of goods weighing up to 30 kg.
Machine vision checks the integrity of the packaging, the presence of labels, markings and individual numbers.
The SpeedBot with 8 carriages reduces picking time by a factor of eight and offers a picking and delivery capacity of more than 3,600 items per hour. As soon as the cart is loaded with orders, they are delivered to the shelf. Pick by Light indicates which order is ready to be picked. The system makes it possible to bundle different orders and reduce the number of sorting points.
Compared to a traditional picking system, KAPELOU’s automated solution ensures:
- more than 3 times faster picking of a large number of small orders,
- 2 times reduced costs in the logistics of the goods,
which gives the company a competitive advantage in the long run.
