On May 28-29, 2026, KAPELOU once again partnered with the XXXIV All-Ukrainian Logistics Day, organized by TradeMasterGroup at the ACCO International Exhibition Center.

During the conference, Yevhen Kulyk, Head of Integrated Solutions at KAPELOU, highlighted one of the key factors behind warehouse efficiency: well-organized material flow. As a practical example, he presented a joint solution developed together with Finnish partner K.Hartwall, demonstrating how roll cages can improve order picking, internal transportation, and dispatch operations.

This approach enables businesses to build a seamless logistics flow – from the distribution center to the retail store – reducing unnecessary handling while improving process control and operational efficiency.

The first step toward efficiency does not always start with a robot

As part of his presentation, “The first step is not always a robot: how K.Hartwall roll cages improve warehouse efficiency without complex automation”, Yevhen Kulyk shared practical insights into optimizing intralogistics processes.

Yevhen Kulyk said: “Efficient logistics often goes unnoticed because everything happens on time and without errors. Yet such performance starts with standardization – selecting the right load carriers and optimizing internal material flows. Our joint solutions with K.Hartwall help businesses take a structured and economically justified first step toward automation while delivering measurable operational improvements from the very beginning

Quality load carriers as the foundation of efficient logistics

Our partnership with K.Hartwall reflects a commitment to proven quality and operational reliability. With more than 90 years of experience, the Finnish company supplies logistics equipment to customers in over 65 countries, continuously refining material handling processes across industries.

The implementation of KAPELOU and K.Hartwall solutions provides several operational benefits:

  • uninterrupted product flow throughout the warehouse without repacking or resorting;
  • reduced manual handling, as goods remain within a single transport unit from receiving to dispatch;
  • improved product protection through durable roll cage construction and secure load containment;
  • elimination of packaging materials such as stretch film and adhesive tape, simplifying shipment preparation;
  • more efficient use of warehouse and transport capacity, with vehicle utilization reaching up to 80% and compact storage of empty roll cages;
  • improved ergonomics and workplace safety by reducing physical strain on employees;
  • additional value for retail operations, where roll cages can be used directly on the shop floor as mobile merchandising units, increasing product availability while reducing backroom storage requirements.

This approach to material flow management is particularly effective in high-throughput environments, including distribution, retail, e-commerce, parcel and courier logistics, as well as manufacturing operations.

Thank you for the meaningful conversations. Our booth G5 became a meeting point for professionals looking to improve warehouse performance and unlock greater value from their logistics operations. We sincerely appreciate everyone who visited us and shared their challenges. Every warehouse has its own operational specifics, constraints, and opportunities for improvement. That is why every project at KAPELOU starts with a detailed analysis of existing processes before selecting technologies and designing the most suitable solution.
