Close38 meters of drive roller conveyor for Pickup point
Group of Companies Epicentr K is one of the leaders in retail in the Ukrainian market. For more than 17 years, the company has had a significant impact on Ukraine’s economy and creates thousands of jobs every year.
Today, the network includes 66 shopping centres “Epicentr K”, 10 construction and hypermarkets “New Line”, 52 sports shops INTERSPORT. Also, the company has160 000 hectares of land cultivated by the agricultural holding “Epicentr Agro” and 14 modern elevators, logistics capacity with a total area of 130 000 m2, own production of ceramic tiles and woodworking.
Task:
In 2018, the third shopping centre “Epicentr K” was opened in Odessa with a total area of 35 thousand m2 and more than 200,000 items. Every month about 160 thousand orders are fulfilled through the online store epicentrk.ua. Therefore, the company is actively developing the online direction and improving order centres.
The main task for KAPELOU was to ensure the efficient operation of the Pick-up Centre, which has an intensity of 14/7:
- speed up the work of the warehouse;
- automate the transportation of goods from the place of storage to the pick-up point;
- ensure careful and fast lifting of goods;
- facilitate the work of staff.
To help Epicentr K achieve its goals, KAPELOU specialists have developed a comprehensive turnkey solution for automating the Pick-up Centre. Through the modularity of conveyor systems manufactured by KAPELOU® and the skill of our engineers, we quickly and efficiently performed the installation, adjustment works of equipment and integration of the system with the WMS at the warehouse.
In the process of implementation, it was established:
- 38 meters of drive roller conveyor with a range of speeds from 0.2 to 1.0 m / s;
- 6 meters of non-driven roller conveyor with the manual drive;
- vertical conveyor lift with a maximum load of 35 kg.
We conducted special training and instruction for the staff, on how to work with the system. Also, we prepared all the necessary documentation, which includes technical passports, detailed instructions with all the rules of operation and service agreement. Moreover, we have selected the optimal set of spare parts. In addition, our service engineers provide comprehensive service support throughout the system life cycle. The first year is under warranty, and then under the support agreement.
Our specialists are always in touch and ready to help with any organizational and technical issues. Regular diagnostics and prevention make it possible to maintain the smooth operation of the conveyor system. And even in case of any breakdown, we will promptly repair the system and replace the necessary parts.
Thanks to a comprehensive automation solution from KAPELOU, the process of moving goods from the place of storage to the pick-up point has become three times faster, and the work of the warehouse more efficient.
