KAPELOU is again in the center of events! On November 28-29, we took part in the All-Ukrainian Logistician’s Day in Kyiv, which brought together experts and leaders in the field of transport and warehouse logistics. The event has become a platform for the exchange of innovations and modern solutions.

Vitaliy Shponko, Head of Warehouse Logistics Automation, presented the revolutionary Goods-to-Person technology, which not only simplifies but also significantly increases the efficiency of warehouse operations.

Goods-to-Person technology: how warehouse logistics is changing

Do you still think that a warehouse is a chaotic space filled with boxes and crates? KAPELOU, a manufacturer and integrator of automated and robotic warehouse equipment, helps to overcome these stereotypes. Automation in warehouse logistics is a steady trend. And the Goods-to-Person technology is a vivid confirmation of this fact.

5 main advantages of Goods-to-Person implementation:

  • increased efficiency of warehouse processes
  • acceleration of order picking
  • maximum picking accuracy
  • saving operating costs
  • convenience and safety in the workplace

The Goods-to-Person technology is a real revolution in warehousing and handling of goods. Its secret is simple: reducing order processing time. Forget about operators running around between shelves: the tray with goods is automatically delivered to their workstations. Fast, accurate and convenient!

It’s not just about saving time and money, it’s a new level of automation, thought out to the smallest detail. Your customers receive their orders without delays and without errors, and the warehouse works like a SMART watch.

And most importantly, Goods-to-Person provides businesses with the opportunity to create inclusive workplaces where everyone can work, regardless of health restrictions. Already 15% of our customers are implementing adaptive workplaces for people with disabilities. And in some of our partners’ warehouses, more than 50% of employees are women. Goods-to-Person is a technology that changes not only business but also society!

Goods-to-Person technology – automation at its best

During his speech at the event, Vitaliy Shponko, Head of Warehouse Logistics Automation at KAPELOU, clearly demonstrated how Goods-to-Person technology in combination with our equipment improves warehouse logistics. In particular, such a comprehensive solution was part of an automation project for one of our partners, the BusMarket Group, a distributor of auto parts with whom we have been cooperating for over 7 years.

Vitaliy Topolyuk, Director of Logistics at BusMarket Group said: “We strive for innovation in every logistics solution. Modernization of the warehouse within the project implemented with KAPELOU is not just a focus on technical process improvement, it is a reflection of our growth and desire to optimize the processing of goods, speed up response to customer requests, and respect the time and efforts of our employees”.

Thanks to comprehensive solutions, we have automated more than 10 thousand square meters of BusMarket Group’s warehouses together with the customer. The Goods-to-Person technology has been implemented in the customer’s priority areas of the operational process. You can learn more about the project here.

Vitaliy Shponko emphasized: “KAPELOU’s integrated solutions allow our customers to effectively solve painful issues of warehouse management. In particular, the Goods-to-Person technology is the most effective warehouse logistics tool that allows optimizing warehouse processes, reducing staff requirements, and significantly speeding up order fulfillment“.

During the presentation, the participants of the event had the opportunity to see the Goods-to-Person technology in action – how the goods in the trays are quickly and accurately moved to the right area. In combination with automated and robotic systems, this technology is another step towards optimizing and increasing the efficiency of warehouse logistics. For example, AGVs, stacker cranes, and shuttles are able to automatically receive goods in boxes and move them to the desired rack cell in the storage area. If necessary, the robotic system picks the desired product from the cell, transports it using conveyor systems to the sorting station, and delivers it directly to the order picker’s workstation.

Logistician’s Day in figures:

  • 2 days of exciting presentations and discussions
  • 30+ top speakers from leading Ukrainian companies
  • more than 1500 participants representing the logistics and distribution industry
  • almost 100 exhibition stands with innovative products and solutions

Time for change – transforming the future now

Innovations in warehouse logistics are becoming more accessible every year. We are confident that the Goods-to-Person technology is an indispensable tool for businesses seeking to improve the efficiency of warehouse management.
